Job Description 

Programming Responsibilities:

  • Conduct intake calls with potential clients, schedule student assessments with Reading Allowed Program Managers, update and link records in Zoho CRM
  • Provide administrative support to the organization, including managing calendars, scheduling meetings, preparing correspondence, and maintaining organizational records
  • Manage incoming calls and emails, responding to inquiries and forwarding messages as needed
  • Manage contracts using DocuSign for new clients and instructors
  • Conduct Student Orientations with new families
  • Manage onboarding process for new Reading Allowed instructors – send request for clearances and references, email references, send contract, keep inventory of clearances.
  • Place orders for materials

Fundraising Responsibilities:

  • Manage donor databases and ensure accurate record-keeping of donations and communications with donors
  • Assist with identifying grant and donor opportunities
  • Assist with grant reporting
  • Collaborate with the team on special projects and initiatives, as needed.

Required Experience and Skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with diverse populations 
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Experience with CRM databases, such as Zoho
  • Strong computer skills to include Google Suite, Power Point, accessing and managing data in customer relationship manager (CRM) and use of the internet.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or relevant experience.
  • Ability to work fast and efficiently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize daily tasks and work assignments.
  • Passion for promoting literacy and education and to enthusiastically convey the message of Reading Allowed.
  • Must meet all guidelines Reading Allowed’s intake process (e.g.: Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE) required FBI Criminal History (fingerprinting), PA criminal background check, Child Abuse Clearance, Act 126 Mandated Reporter training, as well as a valid driver’s license, driving record check, personal and professional reference reports, and proof of automobile liability insurance that meets the state standards for bodily injury, property damage and medical liability, etc).
  • Flexibility needed to accommodate meetings and/or events on occasion. 
  • Ability to lift at least 30 pounds.

Job Type: Full-time, Approximately 90% virtual
